What is a computer and how does it work?
We've all seen pictures like the one on the right. We see circuit boards with coloured plastic, large fans, cables all over the place, but how many of us know what's going on here?
Task One (10 minutes): Create a list in OneNote of all of the parts that are required in order for a computer to work. Provide a picture of each component. Class discussion: share and talk about the parts that we have come up with, what do they do? |
Task Two (15 minutes):
Using the list from task one, describe what each component does. You will need to write 1 to 2 sentences for each.
Hint: it may be helpful to describe how the component interacts with other components. You will need to use the Internet to find your answers.
